Sami Malik is founder and chief executive of Linear Health, which automates referrals, prior authorization, scheduling, and follow-up so a clinic is not doing that coordination by hand. He previously built and sold a telehealth platform that operated in all 50 states, and he grew Simple Online Healthcare's annual recurring sales from $15 million to $130 million.
Building Linear Health
Linear Health is an operator-built layer on top of the record and the payer tools a clinic uses. The work it takes on is the desk work between visits: getting a referral through, clearing an authorization, booking the next step, and checking that it happened. Co-founder and chief technology officer Suvadeep Das is credited with the multi-agent stack that runs under HIPAA rules.
Advisors include Greg Buchert, a physician who was president and chief executive of Blue Shield of California Promise Health Plan, and Justin Schumann, who led growth at Evolent.
