Ordr

Pandian Gnanaprakasam is co-founder and chief executive of Ordr, which finds the medical devices on a hospital network and watches them, because those machines are rarely patched like a laptop.

Engineering Studies in India

He grew up in India. He earned a bachelor's degree in electrical engineering from PSG College of Technology in Coimbatore, then a master's in electrical engineering from the Indian Institute of Technology Madras, in Chennai.

Cisco and Aruba Networks

In 17 years at Cisco he was vice president of engineering for its low-end switching lines, then head of engineering for Cisco's Wi-Fi business. He then joined Aruba Networks as chief development officer, responsible for engineering and product management. Hewlett Packard Enterprise acquired Aruba for $3 billion in March 2015. He holds patents in networking.

Co-founding Ordr

He then co-founded Ordr in Santa Clara, California, with other Aruba veterans to secure connected devices in hospitals and other sites, and served as chief product officer. "The volume and diversity of enterprise devices is growing exponentially," he said when the company came out of stealth. In March 2025 he returned as chief executive. The company has raised about $94 million.
