Verifiable

Nick Macario is a founder of Verifiable. Verifiable sells software that checks a clinician's licenses and other credentials against the offices that issued them, and keeps checking, so a hospital or health plan can tell whether that clinician may still practice and bill.

From Branded.me to Remote.com

He founded branded.me, a digital identity startup where professionals built personal web pages from their work history. In 2017 he merged branded.me with another business to form Remote.com, which ran background checks and verified employee credentials for human resources departments.

Starting Verifiable in 2019

In 2019 he and Vivekanand Rajkumar, its chief technology officer, started Verifiable. It came out of the Y Combinator accelerator in August 2020, monitoring the credentials of more than 50,000 healthcare providers at the time, and in October 2020 it raised $3 million. Its software connects to hundreds of state and federal databases and pulls the records into a single system.
