Company leader
Kanav Hasija
Co-founder
Innovaccer
Kanav Hasija is a co-founder of Innovaccer. He worked on the platform a hospital uses when a patient's history is split across systems and no single chart shows the whole record.
A Master's in Patent Law
He studied mechanical engineering at the Indian Institute of Technology, Kharagpur, and earned a master's degree in patent law from the University of New Hampshire. As an undergraduate he interned at General Electric and was principal consultant at Kharagpur Consulting Group.
Co-founding Innovaccer with Abhinav Shashank
He met Abhinav Shashank at IIT Kharagpur. After patent law in the United States he returned to India, and the two met Sandeep Gupta, who had studied at the Indian Institute of Management Ahmedabad. In 2014 the three founded Innovaccer. The company is based in San Francisco, California. Hasija worked on its Data Activation Platform, which assembles one record from data that sits in separate systems. By 2021 he was its co-founder and chief customer officer. He lives in San Francisco with his wife, Megha Purohit.
Starting MeltPlan
He later left his operating role at Innovaccer, where he remains a co-founder, to co-found MeltPlan with Tanmaya Kala, an AI company for construction planning. In 2026 it raised a $10 million seed round led by Bessemer Venture Partners. "Construction doesn't fail because teams are not skilled or execute poorly," he said.
