Tegria
Brian Cahill is the former chief executive of Cumberland Consulting and of Tegria, the healthcare technology consulting company that acquired it in 2021. He retired in June 2026 and now sits on Tegria's board as an independent director.
Early Healthcare Technology Roles
He earned a bachelor's degree in finance from Western New England University and an MBA from Babson College. He held leadership roles at HPR Inc., ChartOne, eWebHealth, and lifeIMAGE, the medical-image exchange company.
Cumberland and Tegria
As chief executive of Cumberland Consulting Group, a healthcare IT consulting and managed-services firm for providers and payers, he led the company until Tegria acquired it in 2021. He became Tegria's executive vice president of sales and delivery and then its chief executive. "Healthcare leaders know they face a challenging environment in 2023, and they are looking to be resourceful in translating strategy to action to position their organizations for sustained success," he said on taking the job.
Retirement and the Board
On June 8, 2026, Tegria appointed Craig Mengert chief executive, and Cahill retired after a 47-year career, staying on the board as an independent director. "Craig has spent his career in healthcare leading teams and strengthening client and partner relationships," he said of his successor.
