Claim.MD vs Office Ally
Updated October 16, 2026
Independent practices and billing services that want a cheap, dependable clearinghouse usually compare Claim.MD and Office Ally. Both are inexpensive, but they charge in opposite ways: Claim.MD sells flat monthly plans with an API, while Office Ally prices each service and reaches many payers at no charge. Since the Change Healthcare outage, many practices also want a backup clearinghouse, which changes how each pricing model looks.
Our analysts compared Claim.MD and Office Ally on plan prices, API access, extra software, workers compensation claims, onboarding, and interface, using the HIR review of each company and the plans posted on each vendor's site. In the following sections, we compare them in one table, explain which biller each suits, and note each company's dated news this year.
